Google AI Ultra Pricing: What Both Tiers Cost Per Month

Google AI Ultra costs $99.99 or $199.99 a month in the United States. The plan's two tiers are named Google AI Ultra 5x and Google AI Ultra 20x, and the gap between them is wider than the names suggest: Gemini usage limits at five or twenty times Google AI Pro's, 20 TB versus 30 TB of storage, and $40 versus $100 in monthly Google Cloud credits 1 2 3. Both Ultra tiers bundle the full YouTube Premium individual plan, where the $19.99 Pro plan carries only YouTube Premium Lite 3. What each Ultra tier adds over Google AI Pro

Both Ultra tiers are supersets of Pro: what Pro includes carries up, and the tiers diverge from there. The US ladder, from Google's own checkout pages:

• Google AI Plus, $4.99 a month: 2x the free plan's Gemini usage, 400 GB of storage, 200 monthly Google Flow credits, and more access to features like video generation 1.
• Google AI Pro, $19.99 a month: 4x the free plan's usage, 5 TB of storage, 1,000 Flow credits, YouTube Premium Lite, Gemini in Gmail, Docs and Vids, higher limits in Gemini Notebook and the Jules coding agent, entry rate limits in Google Antigravity, and $10 in monthly Google Cloud credits 1.
• Google AI Ultra 5x, $99.99 a month: everything in Pro, plus usage at 5x Pro, first access to the Deep Think reasoning mode and Gemini Spark (in select countries), Project Genie's interactive world model (listed under both tiers on Google's current pages; at the May 2026 split announcement the rollout was restricted to the $200 tier), 10,000 Flow credits, YouTube Premium individual in place of Lite, Google Home Premium Advanced in place of Standard (a $20/month value by Google's own pricing), 20 TB of storage, and $40 in monthly Cloud credits 1 3.
• Google AI Ultra 20x, $199.99 a month: everything in Ultra 5x, with usage at 20x Pro, 25,000 Flow credits, 30 TB of storage, and $100 in monthly Cloud credits 1 2.

Ultra is sold in more than 150 countries; the bundled YouTube Premium individual plan reaches over 40 of them 3. In the US, the Ultra tier also carries Gemini Agent, available in English only 3.

The usage multiples switch baselines mid-ladder

Google prints the four tiers' usage limits against two different yardsticks: Plus and Pro are measured against the free plan (2x and 4x), while both Ultra tiers are measured against Pro (5x and 20x) 1. Put on one baseline, by ProvenBrief's arithmetic on Google's own multiples, the ladder reads 2x, 4x, 20x, 80x. The tier named 5x delivers twenty free plans' worth of Gemini usage; the tier named 20x delivers eighty. A shopper comparing "4x" with "5x" across the Pro boundary is looking at a quarter of the real gap.

Per dollar, the two Ultra tiers price usage very differently. At $99.99 for 5 Pro-equivalents, Ultra 5x works out to $20.00 per Pro-unit of usage; at $199.99 for 20, Ultra 20x works out to $10.00 1. The top tier buys usage at half the rate, and that is the cleanest argument for it. Storage runs the other way: Pro's 5 TB is $4.00 per TB, Ultra 5x's 20 TB is $5.00, and Ultra 20x's 30 TB is $6.67, by ProvenBrief's arithmetic 1 2. Pro is the family's cheapest terabyte; storage alone never justifies Ultra. The Cloud credits change the sticker math for developers: subtract them and the effective prices are $59.99 and $99.99 for anyone who would otherwise pay Google Cloud rates 3.

Every Ultra price change since launch

• May 20, 2025: Ultra launches in the US as one tier at $249.99 a month, with 50% off the first three months for first-time subscribers, 30 TB of storage, and the YouTube Premium individual plan; Google pitches it as a "VIP pass to Google AI" 4.
• Through late 2025 and 2026: availability widens to more than 150 countries, with India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, the Philippines and Türkiye on Google's supported list 2 3.
• May 19, 2026, at I/O: the plan splits. A new $100-a-month tier arrives with 5x Pro's usage and 20 TB, and Google cuts the original tier "from $250 to $200" with what it calls "the exact same capabilities," 20x Pro's usage included 5.
• The exact checkout prices are $99.99 and $199.99, matched by eWeek's July 2026 pricing survey, which lists Google AI Ultra at $99.99 to $199.99 a month 1 6.

One reason prices read inconsistently across the web: Google's Google One plan page serves its plan cards without dollar figures, which load by script, while the Gemini subscriptions page prints the same figures in plain HTML 3 1. A guide written against the wrong surface, or before the split, shows a price that no longer exists.

Where you live changes which tier is the bargain

The two Ultra tiers do not move in lockstep across markets. Local prices from Google's own country pages:

Numeral note: Google's Bangladesh page prints prices in Bengali numerals and its Türkiye page in decimal-comma form; both are converted to Western notation above, with the values verbatim 8 11.

By ProvenBrief's arithmetic on those vendor numbers, one ratio holds almost everywhere and one swings hard. The 20x tier costs roughly ten Pro subscriptions in every market listed, from 9.98x in Pakistan to 10.8x in the Philippines; the US, India and Bangladesh compute to 10.0x and Türkiye to 10.3x. The entry tier's premium over Pro runs from 1.7x in Türkiye to 5.5x in the Philippines, and the gap between the two Ultra tiers runs from 2.0x in the US and the Philippines to 6.1x in Türkiye. A buyer in Türkiye pays the smallest relative step from Pro into Ultra and the largest relative step from 5x to 20x; a buyer in the Philippines faces the opposite shape. Google's plan pages print no cross-market arithmetic, so this ratio table is the part of the purchase decision no vendor page does for you.

Who should pay for Ultra, and who should not

Pro at $19.99 is the right ceiling for most people: 4x the free plan's usage, 5 TB of storage, YouTube Premium Lite. Both Pro and Ultra members can buy AI credits when they hit a plan's limits in Gemini, Flow or Antigravity, so a Pro subscriber with occasional heavy days can top up instead of upgrading 12. US college students can get Pro free for one year 1. Ultra 5x earns its price for daily users of Deep Think, Project Genie and the full YouTube Premium plan, or for developers who would spend the $40 in Cloud credits anyway. Ultra 20x is for people who hit the 5x tier's caps, since its usage prices at half the rate; for everyone else it is $100 a month of headroom.

The split also landed Google on the same map as its rivals: OpenAI sells two ChatGPT Pro tiers at $100 and $200 a month splitting usage at 5x and 20x, and Anthropic's Claude Max runs $100 at 5x and $200 at 20x, a structure eWeek notes Google now mirrors 6.
